Those of you who fairly recently got involved with network marketing are no doubt struggling to find MLM leads at this very moment. Without these leads you simply can not build a downline. The people on this list have probably been exploited to an extent that they wish they never had an email address. They are unlikely to join any network marketing opportunity. When you buy a list try to get a guarantee from the seller, therefore, that the list has never been sold to anybody else. Outdated contact information is also a big problem, so try to ensure you buy a list with updated info.
It takes a lot more time to build your own leads list. The big advantage that you have is that you can be sure these people are genuinely interested in network marketing. But how do you draw up such a list? Where do you find the names to put on the list?
Very often novice network marketers start off by approaching everyone in their circle of colleagues, family members and friends. Twenty years ago this was the established way to do things. There is a serious disadvantage to this way of thinking though: these people might simply not wish to embarrass you and therefore fake interest. They might even sign up, but never actively start to recruit new members.
A better approach is to start on the Internet. Create a website to help other network marketers. Establish yourself as someone who a) knows a lot about network marketing and b) wants to help other people. In the process you will build up valuable relationships and eventually a list of priceless MLM leads.
